Is there a child-safe animal repellent ?

Pugs has taken to peeing on the house, or pooping in the kids' 'flower bed' area.

We cannot supervise him every moment outside with three young kids who need us (diaper changes, bumps and scrapes, potty breaks, etc). Most of the time, yes, but not 100%.

Is there an animal repellent I can put in the area that is safe to use around the kids ? As I said, this is their area for digging and dirt play.

you should see our side yard..... get some chicken fence. its fairly easy to unhook if you put it just right. we had to fiddle around with it some in order to get it right.
