Birman names starting with F?

After much research, I've decided on a Birman for my next kitty. I'll be getting 2 littermates. She has a boy & 4 girls. I'll take either. To me it doesn't matter once they are altered. So, going by tradition, the year 2008 calls for kittens to be named with the letter F. Dad is a lilac point & mom is a lynx point. She can't be too accurate with color yet, as they are only 3 weeks old. So, expectant "mom" that I am, I'm planning names. So all you Birman owners, can you help me out?

Or are you wanting Burmese names?

Nice suggestions so far. I don't like the Burman or Asian names. Too freaky for me. Ever have a name just pop into your head for no reason? Driving to work today I suddenly thought "Firefly!" Kinda cute I thought. And I was dreaming of kitties last night & in the dream, the 5th kitten was named Fin, which is slang for a Canadian 5 dollar bill. I'll have to ask the breeder which of them was born last, LOL!

I'm curious what/who's tradition is this? Never heard of it

I like your dreamed names - Firefly for a girl & Fin for a boy

Growler, I think it's the Burmese cat breeders tradition.

I love the name Finn (Finnegan) ....especially if you get the last born kitten.

I like Fancy for a female. A lilac point and a lynx point will definitely make some purty fancy kittens

The breeder said the boy is a sealpoint & the girls are 2 blue lynx, 1 blue point & 1 lilac point. I've spoken for the boy & will probably get a bluepoint or blue lynx girl as well. So here's my list:
Frankie Blue Eyes
Flash 'n Dash
Frisbee
Firefly
Furby
Flint
Fluffernutter -is that lame or cute?
I'm leaning towards Frankie for the boy & Firefly for the girl. I also like Flint. It suits the blue or blue lynx but for a girl? Sounds more like a boy's name & he's a sealpoint. This is fun but it's hard too!

They are 6 weeks old now. After seeing them again I decided on Furby & Frisbee. Full registered names are Fuzzy Little Furby for the sealpoint boy & Fling That Frisbee for the blue lynxpoint girl. The boy snuggled right into my neck when I picked him up. The girl was terrorizing all the others & trying to climb out of the basket while we took pictures. I guess you really can't decide on names till their little personalities start to emerge. I wanted Firefly for the girl, but she's very Frisbee-like with her antics. The boy looks just like a Furby (remember those toys?) with his huge eyes & big ears. All the others are named except one. There's Foxy Baby & Fiona. Looks like the other customers also went with tradition.

OK, see if I remember how to do this...

Furby is the sealpoint. He's the darkest of them all. Frisbee is a blue lynxpoint girl & she's the one with her tail hanging over the edge of the basket. The others have their names too. The palest one is a lilac point & she's Fiona. The one with the brown nose is a blue point & she's Foxy Baby. The last one is sold but the new owners don't have a name picked out yet. They are 6 weeks old here. I can't bring them home until they are 12 weeks. I can't wait!!

I have alot more pix already but most of them were a little blurry. That's where I like the good old film cameras. Mine is digital. I took some video as well. The breeder said it's her biggest single litter yet & the most different colors & patterns in a litter too. So from a lilac dad & seal lynx mom she got blue lynx, lilac, blue & seal. A rainbow of kitties!
Pix of the parents & past litters are at www.skyhavenbirmans.com Dad is Dewey & mom is Princess Poofy.
