"Altered" Cats
Hi everyone,
I am thinking about getting a cat this or next week and I have been looking at shelters (and their associated websites) for the past few weeks. Just one weird thing that stands out for me, is that on some of the listings it's stated that a cat is "altered" and the sex is unknown (the sex is ONLY unknown for all "altered" cats). By altered, they mean spayed or neutered, correct? Is there no other way to determine if a cat (3 months in this case) is male or female? Not that sex matters, but I just find that weird. Thanks :P |

I'm willing to bet that they actually do know the gender, they just haven't posted it on the website. Can you call them to find out?

They're closed now, but I will definitely do so tomorrow.
