was the yellow part fuzzy too? (Fuzzy anything means it's a moth, not a butterfly...)

like the dagger moth but much much paler.


so it's a moth??:sad: and here I though it would be a beautiful colorful butterfly and that the fuzzyness meant a lot of snow this winter..

Pale dagger moth

Bright dagger moth

Looks like the yellow shade can vary a bit, some are very vivid yellow!

I'd never heard that tale about the fuzziness meaning a cold winter!

The moth is still pretty...subtle, but really extensive markings...

well he is in a tree out back and arch did NOT eat it sothe moth will be safe from the jaws of archie

Wow! As many woolly bears as I see each year, I don't think I've ever seen a moth like that. Most of ours are pale tan or white...unless they're Cecropias, Lunas or Polyphemus moths, anyway.
