Would this be the "breeder" of the puppy you were going to get or do you know another unethical breeder?

I don't know - I am not Canadian and don't know the CKC rules.

What I question is your ability to post how you think someone is ethical to allow a rescued bitch to have a litter of pups and then charge $600 for them but then either want to report their ethics to the CKC or someone else's ethics. That's all.

You either believe in the ethics or you don't. But what is not ethical for one certainly isn't ethical for someone else.

That's their list of contacts.

And their code of ethics. if the breeder doesn't meet that code I'd go ahead and report them.

This is from Article 15 (1) (Discipline and Appeal Procedure) of the CKC by-laws:

(c) Complaints
Any person, whether a member of the Club or
not, shall have the right to lay a complaint with
regard to any matter relating to the Club’s
Objects or activities. Complaints shall be sub-mitted
in writing, in the prescribed format, and
within such time limits as set out by the
Discipline Committee and shall provide suffi-cient
information of the act or omission which
form the grounds for the complaint, so as to
permit the Committee to properly deal with the
issues raised. All information provided to the
Committee by either the complainant(s) or the
defendant(s) shall be provided to the other party
or parties to the complaint. Such information
shall, when reasonably possible, be provided
either personally or by means of registered or cer-tified
mail, or by means of commercial carrier.

(d) Fees
Upon filing a complaint, the complainant shall
pay a fee in such amount as is prescribed by
the Board from time to time. The Committee is
authorized, at its sole discretion, to direct that
the fee be returned to the complainant. In the
event that the Committee dismisses a complaint
as being frivolous and vexatious, the Committee
is authorized, at its sole discretion, to assess
against the complainant, a fee which reasonably
represents the costs of the investigation and
the hearing.
