Searching for Info on the Pacific Parrotlet

Hi,

One of my staff members - who is an avian enthusiast - has several birds and people often bring her birds that require rescuing or assistance. (Sort of the same ole story rescues of any pet face, sigh - except she is one person who lives alone though she has two daughters and several grandchildren who are are all older than 6 and works part time in my office so does this part time with her own money.) She also has one cat who amazingly leaves the birds alone - I do realize cats and birds can live together but she is the only one I actually know who has the two under the same roof.

Last week, someone brought her two parrotlets. She has done some research online but since she is unfamiliar with the breed, I thought I'd post a query here in the event someone does understand how to care for these small sized parrots.

She has noticed they seem to drink a lot of water - more so than her other birds (and she has helped several types of birds). Is that the norm?

Any other info would be greatly appreciated. Thx in advance!
