Looks great...wish there was something like that when I was actively looking for Sable....The frustrating thing is people forget to let others know if their pet has been found and they stay on the lost list forever....updating is so important if you want others to help cross post and check other sites trying to match up pets.

that is an excellent idea,,,make sure you copywrite it ,,approach google about it and then i would contact the media to make sure it is well advertised so people know to look for it.

there are not many sites now for reporting lost and found pets especially if they are "travellers". but I know it will be a welcomed site for those with lost pets.

exactly shirley,,,if it was well advertised think how much easier it would be on the people who have lost a pet like yourself,,you could log on,,search the area and hopefully the person who has found the animal has posted their whereabouts. Much easier than going through a billion posts on ths,,or petharbour.

This might be of some interest to you. I posted this awhile back on here

Is this dog lost? No, he's on the GPS

http://ca.tech.yahoo.com/gadgets/oth...s/article/3465

Here is a tidbit about what is says about the product.

calling it SpotLight, and if your Spot has a habit of roaming, it could be ideal for you. It's a tiny GPS unit that attaches to a dog's collar and lets you find him if he's decided to hit the road.Owners can also activate an LED light on the device from computers or handsets via a text message. They can set up what's called a SafeSpot - say, home or yard - and if the dog moves outside that area, be alerted by a message, or multiple messages if they set up multiple SafeSpots. It would work for the people who let their cats roam as well.

i know it is not the goggle map, but..

the link doesn't work but I did find "Spotlight"...had no idea they had come that far with A GPS....what I wouldn't have paid for one of those before Sable went missing. Sure looks like a good investment for those of with "hunting instinct" dogs that escape!
Thanks
