I've never done this before, so hope it works. I just became a member because we lost our beloved pet Sheamus. He was a Chesapeake/Golden Retriever mix. We were blessed to have had his company for 11 years. Unfortionately he developed a brain tumor, and left us 4 weeks ago. Needless to say our family is devasted.
I know this is probably an unusual request, but if anyone knows of anyone who has a Chesapeake/Golden Retriever mix puppies for sale, please let me know. We know that we can't replace Sheamus, but he was so smart, and so gentle and kind. We would love to have the opportunity of raising another dog similar to him. We live in Brockville Ontario. Thank you everyone. |

I'm so sorry for your loss. I have always switched breeds because I never wanted to compare any dog with another dog from my past. If you want to rescue one (any Chesapeakes sold to city folk usually end up in rescues because they don't get enough exercise, etc, etc), you can go to www.petfinder.com

What you need to understand is you will never really find one simular to him.Every dog is different. I stuck to the same breed. But that is only because of my love for this breed and I grew up with them. What you may want to do is check out your local shelters or the SPCA.There are many dogs there that need loving homes....
