OMG, this all the fault of Micheal Bryant . The law is poorly written and leaves it up to the ACO to view a dog and determine it's genetic background.

I hope they get their dogs back.

OH don't get me started on that one. I am also a biker who has to put up with arrogant drivers that think they own the road. I have been following that case like a hawk. There is a thread about it under the BSL forum.

I tried to comment but nothing worked . I'm in total awe at the stupidity of the people stating these are pit bulls. They don't even look like pits. How anyone could take dogs that cause no trouble from law abiding seniors who love these dogs is beyond me. I wish I could drive there and shake a few heads together to wake them up. Someone is trying to look macho, how macho is it to euthanize dogs who did nothing wrong?

Other than sheer stupidity, how else can this be described?

Yep we know about Vic and his dogs. I am wishing Bubba and the party favor was for Bryant and his dumb Pit bull ban.

Encouraging that the top comments all cite the stupidity of the law or outrage at the city being allowed to seize dogs on looks alone. Not supporting the BSL

I have this fantasy that we all go down to Brampton--or city hall in Toronto--and stage a mass prostest!

I have a rescue to take. I need help with this.

Let me know Chris. Listen - I cannot network from here. All I need is the name of the Animal Control. I have dealt with one before in London and bought some time for the dog until I was able to bring her here. Maybe I can try with this Animal Control. It's worth the try.

I do have a rescue to help here. Chris - I will PM you my phone number at home and cell. Please get in touch with me for everything you find out and I will move on this.

Thanks so much.

It did say in the blurb in the T. Star that the AC seem open to getting them out of the Province.

I left a message. Hopefully they will call and honor their 'openness' to get them out of province. The ball is in their court now.

Well according the facebook group the euthanization date has been pushed back indefinitely. BUT the the government is NOT considering giving the dogs back to the people as a possible option. They either "have to be" put down or transferred to a different province.

well myself, if I were the "owners", I'd move outside ontario. to me besides proving they aren't bullie then this is the only option to have their pets back. Brina would be worth moving for.

I would as well Melinda but then again we at Pets are alittle more sensitive about our animals and would move mountains for them. Others however either are not economically sound to make a move or they do not put as much value on their pets as we do.

WTF is wrong with people??!!!

This is, without a doubt, a modern day witch hunt! Has everyone lost their sense of reason? This is profiling at its' worst

This is just another example of abuse of power (by the "authorities") - fueled by extreme ignorance and irrationality...!

I really hope that these innocent dogs are returned to their rightful owners, and everyone can get back to living their life...

On the news the other night, a spokeswoman from the shelter said the shelter would be in violation of the law if they were to give the dogs back. What kind of BS is that?

The Branco family is paying the legal bills for the Gaspar's. Once in a while you get a glimpse that there is hope for humanity yet.

Apparently there is to be a rally at the shelter on Sat, Feb. 6 from 9-11am.

It's amazing how much support these families are getting to all who are helping for the return of these two dogs to their rightful loving owners! You can also sign an online petition through the facebook link Chris posted above
