Guinea pig limping

Last week my guinea pig was "popcorning" and he squeaked in pain and was suddenly limping on his back leg (dragging it around). He slowly got better but now, a week later, he isn't walking on the leg again.

Has anyone known a guinea pig to have injured their leg popcorning (jumping) around the cage?

I'm super worried about him since he seemed to make a full recovery but it now back at square one.

I have moved the water and food close to him so he doesn't have to walk around to get things.

Any suggestions as to what else I can do to help him in the meantime?

I am taking him to the vets this afternoon.
