Cody in the snow

Cody finally gets some photos taken of him I always find him harder to photograph because:
a) he's mostly black
b) he likes to bark at me when I have the camera
c) he seems to have a habit of making funny faces as soon as I click the shutter down.

He's a real ham, and I'm always glad when I get photographs of him that turn out for the most part. It's been so cold lately I haven't had a chance to take the camera outside... and there is also no sun coming through the cloudy sky which makes for a much harder time! I can't wait for spring at this point. I still find it hard for me to grip the truth that Cody is 8 years old now, as he sure doesn't act like an older dog. I was happy a few weeks ago when I brought him out to a petstore, people thought he was no older than 3 years

Cody says, "My ball, back off!"

Giving me one of his weird looks - puffy lips and all, lol

Cody with his Jolly Ball. He seriously glues himself to it when we go outside. I have to pry it away from him.

Now I have treats, so he finally comes over.

I love how the snow sticks to his fur, but Cody often doesn't feel the same way... especially when it sticks to his feet

Happy and warm inside once again

Sooooooo handsome! He looks like he's having a blast with his Jolly Ball!

Sort of off topic, but how durable are those Jolly Balls? They look like something the Pack would enjoy, but could it hold up to an onslaught of 8?

Hazel - if you get the one without the handle it should be quite durable. Cody has been chewing the handle on the one we have, and just him alone has nearly taken it off

We have another one which came with a rope through the middle - we took the rope out and that one has been around for a year with no damage. Cody is obsessed with Jolly balls, and Nova can't quite figure out what all the fuss is about (but then again the balls are a little big for her to carry lol)

Thanks, Spatx! I'll look for one next time I get into town. Maybe I can organize a soccer game here.

Question - where did you get the big jolly ball? It would be perfect for my boys. All of their outdoor toys are too small and they keep getting lost in the snow. They should be super excited with all the treasure they find come spring

Cody is so handsome! I bet he doesn't like it when the snow clomps on his feet, it's cold! I must get one of those jolly balls one day too. I think my grrrrls would love it.

I got the Jolly Ball from Petsmart I haven't really seen it in any other stores around here - but I'm sure some independent stores would be able to order them in. The ball is a great workout for them, and dogs seem to love the thing!
