New member saying HELLOOOOOO

Hello there!

Finally managed to log in after I forgot my password.. yikes.. bad memory indeed.

I am a New Zealander living in Canada with my two 'kiwi' cats and my Canadian husband.. so he is pretty outnumbered.

Tyson, is a 6 yr old male grey/white 'moggie' I got as a kitten. He has now flown to Canada twice and probably has more air miles than most people.

LP (short for little puss), is a Manx we adopted from the SPCA in NZ 3 years ago. She was no more than a kitten herself when she became pregnant. When we picked her out she still had the shaved belly of one recently speyed, but was such a cutie she had to be taken home !

Love cats, and in fact all animals, so looking forward to browsing the forums.

Sally

Welcome! You may be the first Kiwi here. We love pictures of moggies if you've got any.

Welcome SallyAnn. I love cats although I don't currently own one. My previous one passed away in October of last year. We currently have Sam the dog and our roommates have 2 dogs so it is just too chaotic to introduce another cat to the fold right now. Once our roommates move, we will probably get another one.

What a lovely welcome!

Thank you all for such a warm welcome! I haven't found many kiwis living in my area... I'm a minority Just spent some time looking at cat pics.. awwwww.. heheh what a softy! I will be posting my cats photos shortly Have set up my petsite pics for now.(edited after posting pics!)

Kia Ora Melanie While I dont speak Maori, I do know a couple of words here and there! To answer your Q, I was born in the UK, family emigrated to NZ in 1973 so have spent most of my life there. Firstly lived in Wellington area for many years, then Auckland, but after travelling, finally got my dream to live in the South Island. Lived in Te Anau/Milford Sound for 8 years, and then also Christchurch.. bit of a gyspy here.

AliSam... know how you feel about pets who have passed. I also had a dog.. German Shepherd I named Doogz .. his father was a $40,000 pure bred, but Doogz ended up with really long fur and noone wanted him. He was hit by a car when he was only 2 yrs old (ex hubby had 'custody' of him). I still miss him lots even tho its been 15 yrs...

Anyway.. once again.. ty for the welcome and now I am off to find piccies to post....

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
