Recipe for emergency electrolytes
Some years ago I had a recipe for electrolytes that kept my rott from going into shock until my vet opened Monday. I took him to the emergency vet in our area on Sat. night knowing full well something horrible had happened, and they couldn't find anything. I took him home to "doctor" him until my vet returned on Monday, and she found out in very little time he'd torn his bladder jumping onto the back of our truck. I've lost the recipe, and I'm going on a mountain hike soon, and want to take the right ingredients with me just as a precaution. I'm lucky I haven't needed it in a few years! If anyone knows the formula for lytes ( I believe it was salt and baking soda) I would greatly appreciate having it again.

Electrolytes
Thank you for the website, I believe that is the one. I searched all day yesterday, and could only find lytes that included sugar. I'll just eliminate the sugar and Kool-aid from that one and pack it. I need to keep it on hand now that I have a dog again. One never knows what's around the corner, but BE PREPARED!
