Unhappy leg deformity?

I have a 3 year old pitt bull/lab. I got her a year ago from a local petcetera so I'm not fully sure of her background or breed but she definately resembles both. On her first vet visit I was told she had a "shortened muscle deformity" in her rear right leg. The vet said this was no cause for concern and wouldn't limit her. Over that past few months as the weather has gotten colder she's started limping, can't jump and has very little energy. I took her back to 2 different vets who said it's not arthritis and there's no concern??? Anyone heard of this? I give her asprin but that doesn't make a difference. I'm taking her again to the vet but I'm worried they are going to take me to the cleaners with $$$.
