300 Rabbits Ont/mtl

URGENT

Hello friends of animals,

Don't know if you've heard, but in Ontario there was an OSPCA raid on a farm and 300+ rabbits were seized and need temporary or permanent homes.

If you can help, either directly, or by forwarding this to contacts, especially at rescue groups or shelters, please do so immediately. Time is very important here.

I've been getting reports that although a large number of rabbits have been placed in various shelters and rescue already, that many more are still waiting and are being put to sleep.

So if you can help, let me know FAST! Transport to Montreal area is being arranged.

Subject: Emergency medical fund for rescued Ontario rabbits that arrived in Montreal.

Hello caring people! Please pass this along to your friends.

As many of you know, Quebec Rabbit Rescue (QRR) arranged for 27 rabbits to come to Montreal last sunday from Barrie Ontario. Between 300-400 rabbits were seized from bad conditions by Ontario SPCA. QRR is one of the many groups involved in placing these animals in temporary and permanent homes. Many of these baby rabbits are sick with respiratory infections. At their tender young age (some as young as 4 weeks) such an infection could easily kill them, so they require medical treatment. Today we discovered one has pneumonia.

Midnight's story: Midnight is about 5 weeks old. She has pneumonia, but has a strong will to live and enjoy life. She was the only black bunny in a barn full of white bunnies. So she's kind of special. We want her to have a chance. Her medical treatment will certainly run over $100. Hopefully none of her brothers and sisters will have such serious problems, but only time will tell.

RABBIT SPONSORSHIP: Any amount you can give will help, even $10, but consider this:

- For $50 you can help cure a baby bunny of respiratory infection.
- For $75 you can help offset the cost of neutering a bunny.
- For $100 we will come to your house and thank you personally! Well, maybe we won't be able to do that, but we'd sure like to!!!

Cpietra, you and your friends are angels and, of course, you know we want to see pics of yours asap.

Good luck to all the rest of the bunnies.
