Any experiences with these pet hospitals around GTA?
Hello All,
Just looking for anyone with experiences, positive or negative, with a few pet hospitals in my area. I've done a bit of research today as my dog will likely need surgery to remove a mass in his colon. These are the places that I found and were reputable. Has anyone ever visited any of these? a) 404 Vet Emergency and referral hospital - Newmarket b) Toronto Veterinary Emergency Hospital - Scarborough c) Central Toronto Veterinary Referral Clinic - Toronto I just want to hear your opinion and experiences or perhaps there's another hospital I'm missing Thanks for looking! |

This site might help. Unlike some sites where it seems mostly the people who have a gripe post a complaint about their car, their med, their Doctor; pet people seem very happy to post good things about their Vet. Still, you don't know who is posting so a grain of salt. I have been to 404 where my dog's Lymphangiectasia was diagnosed and dealt with to my satisfaction and he is still ok now, two years later, on the diet protocol advised for him. We also did ortho rehab there and I am not following their (different Vet) advice on that to the letter but we are managing an injury that is not going to get better. All staff were professional and friendly and helpful. Many years ago my ESS went to a specialist, emergency clinic in Etobicoke. She had a suspected broken neck. They were not able to find a broken neck or any reason for her screaming in pain. She was on pain meds for the rest of her life. BEtween them and our regular Vet all we could conclude was she had obtained a pinched nerve in her neck after being attacked by two teams of huskies. Every now and then a wrong turn would cause her pain. Though they did not solve or help much, we did rule out the broken neck and we could go there again if we had to. Sorry, a long time ago, not sure of their proper name or location. I was kind of in a daze at the time too, worrying about my dog. Good luck. |
