Dog not the same after having puppies...

My sister in laws dog had 4 puppies about three weeks ago and she hasn't been the same ever since. She was a very active dog but since having the puppies she just eats alot and just lays around. she has also begun to use the washroom inside rather than outside. She was totally house trained and the only time she would be outside was to do her business and to go for a walk on a leash. She is a small dog; a poodle/terrier mix. I was once told that you should give nursing dogs yogurt to keep their calcium levels up while nursing; is there any truth to this? does anyone have any suggestions? Could she be jealous of her puppies? Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions.

Has she been to the vet to make sure there are no other pups that she was unable to deliver.

And she's been through a lot, of which she didn't have to go through. I hope if your sister in law isn't a breeder she spays this dog.
