B&W cat lost in Ottawa - Alta Vista
Georgia
My family has lost a dear, 10-month-old black & white cat, Shuster, in the Alta Vista area of Ottawa, as of Sat. July 2 in the evening. He's a domestic long-hair with a long, fluffy tail and one-half of his right ear is pink. Very friendly, no collar as we had not yet taken him to be chipped. We are devastated without him. Photo enclosed. Please call 613 260-3916 with info. [IMG][IMG]Shuster photo[IMG][/IMG] |

Have you been going out in the evenings - particularly in this hot weather - with treats, to call him? I find that young strays sometimes attach themselves to the older dominant ones. If you know of any feral clusters in your neighbourhood, he might be hanging with them. Have you postered everywhere, advertised in those free weekly papers, put the SPCA on alert (although it's always better to go in person)? Don't give up!
He's a beautiful boy; when (thinking positively here) you get him back, if he is not neutered, get it done right away, it curtails the wandering. |

With all of the traffic in the Alta Vista area, you may want to be out looking in your neighbours yards, etc to see if your cat is hiding out. Perhaps put some treats out or something...did your cat escape from your home?

RE: cat lost in Ottawa-Alta Vista
Thanks, for your note. I will remember to take the treats with me when I'm out scouring the neighbourhood. I really hope no one has done him any harm or driven him out to the country to let loose, just because I hadn't yet taken him for microchipping. We've only had him 2 months, but he's a great cat!!
