Pugs & being in heat

This is probably going to sound funny!
I am a Mommy to 3 Pugs I raised 1 as a pup Millie
the other from a shelter Buddy
and Now the worse one of them all LUCY ( Pup )
She is only 7 months old and was 2 days away from spaying
( I am not in this to be a grandma just a mommy ! )
She came in to heat at 7 months ( weird to me ) but hey
She is bleeding way more than I remember with Millie
and way more swollen !
My question is this Is this normal ?
Is this too young ? , is this too much bleeding ?
I am very worried cause she is still TOO much of a pup
My older girl Millie only had her heat cycle at 11 / 12 months .
I do have a gated yard but a little worried other dogs might
jump the fence when their outdoors ! I keep her in now most of the time
exception of doing her business , But she is very very stubborn
So when I command her to come she will NOT ! I have to chase her
She really is the bratty one of the bunch.

I don't know alot about pugs, my brother has a male pug. I do know that my dog had already had a litter of puppies when we adopted her and she is only a year old. A word of advice - do not let her outside unless she is on a leash. Take her for a walk, let her take care of business, but keep her on a leash. A dog will probably not listen when she's in heat and another dog comes around.

I'm not a pug person; you'd be best off asking your pug's breeder. However, Shassi, my Shiba Inu went into heat for the first time at 6 months and it seems to be the standard age for most bitches.

I agree with Beautygirl's advice - keep her on a lead and supervised at all times when outside! Dogs will go to incredible lengths to get to a bitch in heat.

from what i understand, about pug, they should already be spayed by 7months. pugs usually go into heat around 7 or 8 months thats why most spays are done at 6. as most other breeds.

be extremely careful with her during her heat, keep her indoors and speak to your vet about the next spay opportunity. usually a month or so after the heat cycle.

as for the bleeding every dog is different if you have any concerns bring her to the vet in a sturdy carring case and leave her in it--just in case

I actually was 2 days away from spaying her
( only time I could get in she just turned 6 months !
But I am a little concerned at this point cause
she is really bleeding alot and has been for a full week now !
I am gonna call the vet just incase I guess I am a nervous Mom
And as far as spaying I have to wait exactly 10 days once
she has finished her heat cycle ! So I am waiting to see when
she is finished !
