Paw Wart?

Hi All -

My girl is pretty scared and uneasy at the vet so I'm trying here first before putting her through a vet visit.

She had a small white spot on her paw pad (smaller than a dime) that wasn't bothering her at all... the other day she started chewing on it extensively so much so that we've had to put a cone on to let it heal up.

Anyone know what this could be? Any suggestions?

Photo 1 = when she first started picking at it. still relatively light
Photo 2 = after she chewed it open

Help please!

Where are you walking your dog most of the time ? You may want to put a sock on the paw to keep it from getting infected when walking outside. Can you send the photo to your vet , they should have an email address for you to use.

Thanks for the quick reply. Good idea about the sock for walks.

I did e-mail a photo to the vet so we will see. I've been reading and reading and the more I learn and the more photos I look it and seems like a histiocytoma.

I would love to see the what the rest of your dog looks like. Do you have an E collar to put on your so she can't keep biting at her paw? I hope the vet will be able to tell what wrong , what happen that cause your dog to hate going to the vet so much?
