reactiosnto antibotics

My four year old boxer was bitten in the mouth by a yellow lab. She punctured inside. The put him on antibiotics to make sure he did not get an infection. He is now peeing blood. We took him back to the vet and he said it must be a reaction to his medicine so he prescribed soemthing else. He said he has never heard of this happening before. Has anyone heard of this ? Thanks, Brenda
