Millarville Ag Society
I'm VP of the Millarville Racing & Agricultural Society, a little southwest of Calgary. This is a very busy Ag Society with lots happening through the year. Some images from 2012 . . .

Below, under a threatening prairie sky at the 107th Annual Millarville Races, a young lady leads the Stock Horse Race, pitting local ranchers, acreage owners and farmers against each other for bragging rights and an historic trophy.
 The winner . . . . . her first win, the third for this particular horse.  Below, three-legged races like this have been a staple on Canada at the Millarville Racetrack for more than 100 years. The Racetrack is one of the oldest in Canada and was the first to allow for women jockey's. It is also home to the Millarville Farmers' Market, the oldest and largest outdoor Market in southern Alberta, including Calgary. We just staged the Millarville Christmas Market last weekend, one of the largest arts & crafts shows in Alberta. I started up the Millarville "Run To The Farmers' Market" Half Marathon last year and it was a big success. It's the only long distance race in North America that I can find that finishes at a large and active Farmers' Market. We're looking to double our runners next year. It's a fun place to be.
