Unhappy Kitten Has Ringworm

We took in a 4 week old, stray, female kitten a couple of weeks ago. We took the kitten to the vet the next day and she was diagnosed with Ringworm. For the past couple of weeks she has been receiving lyme dips and on medication. We have her quarentined in our basement bathroom away from our other cat (they have not yet met).

The vet told us to keep her quarentined, change our clothes when playing with her, and to clean the area she is sleeping with bleach often.

Has anyone else had this experience? I worry about my other cat getting the ring worm even though my husband and I are extremely careful. I also worry about even after the kitten is cured, the spores will be left somewhere and she will get reinfected.

If you went through this, how long did it take for your cat/dog to be cured? Was there ever a reoccurence?

Thanks!
