Oh yes, Sam is leaving her alone, like he always does. I think Bailey is in love and Monsieur le chat "told" her right from the start he's the boss, she gets scared when he "punches" her. When Sam and Bailey played earlie, twice she got between them as if to say ; hey guys, don't fight !

Awww, that is so great , I'm sure she will be so much fun to watch as she learns how to play with the others. Perhaps you should start a new thread for Nelly, I'm sure lots of people will want to comment.

Congrats, Frenchy! She's beautiful.

Usually when I call my man over to see photos, he says "No!" before he even looks at them but this time he may have been a bit wistful as he agreed with me that we can't have another dog because of city bylaws, space and finances.

Never boring us . It inspires us and makes up happy to hear about your fosters  , especially when they come from such an awful situation  .

AAAH!! I'm so glad to hear she's getting along OK with your dogs. Now her life really gets to begin and she'll finally get what she truly deserves; a warm, soft place to lie down, and a sweet 'mommy' who'll smother her in kisses when she gets home from work! Thanks Nadine for opening your heart and your home for her! You are an angel!!!

By the way, one of the dogs from yesterdays seizure will probably give birth tonight or tomorrow. She lost her mucus plug, so it'll be anytime now. She's a cross between a Boxer and maybe Husky, very cute!

All the dogs are cross breeds. Some of them are very timid and don't seem to know how to socialize with people. They certainly don't know how to walk on a leash, they are terrified of it.

I can't figure out what the heck this idiot was doing with these dogs? Not like he was making money from breeding them and they weren't guarding the house..........very strange.......

First thing, when I saw the pic at the counter,I thought kitchen-cupboards might not be out of reach to her, counter definetly not
Little Monsieur Le Chat looks like he's wondering why a little horse is in his kitchen

These new dogs at the SPCA,were they too from a mill??Never mind,I just saw the new thread:sad:

That would be a great idea, I wonder what we all could do?

Anyone have any updates on Hope?

Hope is recovering well. She's put on some weight so her ribs and hips are not jutting out as they were when she arrived at the shelter. When she's not napping, she's quite the social butterfly. Her skin is healing but it's still not too pleasant to look at for some people. She has very few 'raw' spots left; however, she's lost quite a bit of hair and is quite purple in those places. She likes to go outside but on for a few short minutes at a time. There's a staff member that Hope always wants to be nearby. Here's a photo taken last week before she went out for a stroll.

Sorry, but that information is absolutely incorrect! No Danes have been put down. All except 2 have already been placed in foster homes. Of the 2, 1 is leaving tomorrow to another home. Hope will remain at the shelter with us for the time being.

The Boxer X and her 11 puppies (she only had 11) are being well taken care of. Mom's is totally smitten with her pups  .
