cpietra16 See if you can get your neighbours to look in their garages/sheds/under the houses Angel might've bolted for the nearest sheltered/enclosed area & may still be there since she didn't move when hidden in your house

Great suggestion Growler.

Also look up into trees in case she is hiding up one.

Good luck ....I hope you can locate her soon.

I had a phone call at 2:00 am. It was a lady who lives 1 block over said that she is certain that the cat that she is looking at right now is Angel...I told her to feed the cat and I would come over the next day. I have kids in bed and could not leave them.
I have to keep in mind that this is a lady who found nothing wrong with callin gme at 2:00 am...

That you can get Angel. Maybe the lady thought you would want to know so you could come over while Angel was still there , not knowing you are a single, working mom.

I know...I beleive she haas a cat in her yard but it just doesd.t sound like Angel. She said that Angel went to eat very quickly and came close to her...It took her months before she came out from under my bed and I had Antonio to help...so it may not be Angel...Having said al lthat I will definately go and see her later today. I am at work and I passed by her house this morning but no sign of any cat so I will call her later. I'll keep you all updated

Could Angel be more comfortable in the outside than inside a strange house?

Is there prey around for her to hunt?

Anything is possible...I would rather see her back in her own invironment in the warehouse than on a strange street with unfamiliar noice, cats and people...I think I need therapy., followed by a long vacation, followed by a quick divorce, followed by ......crap....just a happy ending and Angel back......OK...I've lost it....I am for all the Bi****...its out now and I will move on and back to work.

But maybe because Angel feels safer coming out when it's dark outside?

I hope you find her soon.

Still no sign of Angel..
Mommy is doing ok....She was in hiding and refused to interact with her new family...I suggested they remove her food...and sure enough she came out crying for food....one step at a time.

I set up a live trap on the ladies property 2 nights ago and last night or I should say this morning at 1:00 am I got a call from her telling me that there was a cat in the trap and it looked like Angel.....I decided to go and see the cat instead of leaving it there all night .It looked like her but I wasn;t sure
Keeping in mind that it was 1:00 in the morning and I was half asleep i decided to take it home and see how Antonio would react...it was only then that I coudl see it wasn;t Angel... Antonio loved Angel and would rub up against her all the time, but it was clear it wasn;t Angel.
This cat was a little larger and i think it was male...hard to see when a cat is spooked and in a trap..
Anyway i went back to the lady's property and released him/her.
I'm afraid the Angel will not be comng back...as a feral cat she has learned not to show herself during the day so i doubt anyone will spot her.

Every time I check this thread I am hoping that Angel would have been found.
I don't want to be a naysayer but if Angel was trapped once she may not go back into the trap. They usually don't.
I am sending up lots of prayers that she will be found very soon.

cpietra, how heartbreaking and frustrating, where is she???
Is Angel semi-feral or would she approach people? Not that many cats would anyway.
The problem with cats(or people,I should say)is that you never know if a cat is lost or just let outside by the owners,no tags no nothing.
I usually judge by the way the cats look, like my beat up,sad looking stray..
to you cpietra and hoping Angel is safe

Awww geeze . I guess she wouldn't have the instinct to return home to get food, but to go off and find her own food. Hopefully she will turn up soon.
