Sending all our prayers and good wishes to you and Sway, Josh! You've done so much for her...she is such a lucky girl!

I am not sure how many still check in on Sway but I always do!

Josh and Sway need our prayers more than ever!! Here is an update from his site.

Josh I dont know how often you check in here but I am always praying for a better outcome for Sway! She has been so blessed to have someone care for her like you! May you both find some peace!

Cindy

From Josh's Blog
everyone please pray for my dog.
she is in a really really bad way.
this morning at the vet my normally 40 lb pit bull is down to 17 lbs -- she has been around 23 lbs for most of this year.
her body is like a walking skeleton and i can almost fit my thumb and index finger around the entire circumphrence of her neck.
she was vomiting all night last night and has become very listless and withdrawn over the last 48 hours.
she has also started to develop a long stringy muccus that hangs from her backside after she pees.
my dr. thinks it's either an elevation of the constant UTI's that she has, or an infection linked to a kind of pancreatitis.
we are having another full comprehensive blood panel sent to the lab today.
she just had her 2 year anniversary after being diagnosed with AIHA in june of 2007.

obviously alot of you here have followed her story and the difficulty we have had with that, and then the multiple liver shunting diagnosis and how this has been a downward spiral into other conditions that we could never get a ultimate handle on.
please pray for sway, as i do not know what this future holds for her.
im devastated internally and am just pretty much lost at a lack of results we have gotten.
my girlfriend is staying with her right now as im at work, and she is just buried in our pillow and unmoving.
it is heartbreaking.
everyone here has been just terrific to us so keep your positive thoughts for her, never know what can happen.
thanks

Thank's Winston.
I have followed Josh and Sway and Josh obviously loves Sway more than anything,he is a wonderful young man.

However, when to say enough,is enough,at 17lb's and not moving,is it not time to let her have peace and end her suffering:sad:
Still I hope for the best for Josh and very brave Sway

Bell

Hi I am in the same position as you, have you had any definite result yet. I have a 2 year old female jack Russell and about 5 weeks ago she began passing out and loosing all energy after small activity, even going to end of garden and back. I took her to my vets and they did ultrasound X-ray and heart scan and all came back normal! Got her blood results bk today and her red blood cell count is 15% and also very low white blood cell count! They r taking her back Thursday for more blood testing and I was told that maybe her bone marrow has given up and stopped working in which case is life threatening and untreatable! I am so worried we are going to loose her so any advice would be great!ni vet is also checking her ovaries and uterus for tumours but if nothing then will be taking a bone marrow biopsy! Bell is very weak, acting like a very old dog. Xx

Hi, Karasbell. Sway and Josh fought very hard for very long, but in the end, Sway crossed to the Bridge.

Every dog and every case is different, though--take it a day at a time and see what the vets come up with. First you need to find what you're dealing with, then it may be that Bell responds well to treatment. So sorry you're going through such a scary time.

If you have specific questions or concerns that come up in Bell's journey, feel free to start a new thread anytime. And please keep us updated on her progress! We may not all have experience with anemia, but most of us have had a critically ill pet at one point or another.
