New to the forum :)
Hi everyone! I've been a bit of a lurker on the forums for a little over a month now and wanted to take the time to introduce myself a little and comment on how wonderful this community is from what I've seen. There's been a lot of people with excellent advice that I've found extremely helpful with my little one so far, and for that I wanted to give a big, general "Thank You!
 " to all.  I currently live in Montreal East with my fiance' after moving up here a few months back from the states. We just homed our first little newborn bundle of energy this week, Maiko, a 10 week old male Husky/Golden Retriever mix, and it has been a fun experience so far! Thanks to numerous websites and a lot of really good advice from these forums, my fiance' and I decided to put him on the raw prey style diet, and so far he is in LOVE with it. Weaning him from the kibble he had is going slowly but he seems to be taking to it pretty well. This isn't the first dog I've had, I've owned 2 Huskies previously (one siberian) and a beagle, and my fiance' used to have a labrador/dalmation mix, but this is my first of this young age. Currently trying to crate train him though he's not too found of the crate (would rather be in mommy or daddy's lap  ) But he's taking to housebreaking very well surprisingly! When he doesn't show his stubborn side that is. lolFor any interested, here's a pic of our little munchkin  Look forward to meeting other owners from the community and hopefully sharing some (if minimal at the moment) experiences I've had. Thank you everyone for the warm welcome and well wishes!
 I'm definitely looking forward to puppyhood, he's such a silly, stubborn little guy he fit right in from day one. hehe and thank you Breeze, it's a good thing Maiko is a little camera hog! A few of my favorites because you asked!

hehe Thank you very much
He is an absolute hog for belly rubs. It's hard just to pet him or play with him cause soon as you start he just flops right down on his back! He's also perfectly content to play tug of war while on his back demanding belly rubs at the same time.
