Dust Bunnies
I wasn't sure where to put this. It is pet-related (kinda), but more cleaning-related. (Mods: sorry, move it if it belongs somewhere else. Thanks!)
After cleaning the kitchen for the umpteenth time this week and STILL chasing dust bunnies an hour later, I was wondering if anyone had found a product to help with all the fur running around. We have long-haired cats and boy is that fur lightweight. You can't come near it with a broom. Just blows away. So when I mop, I end up with sticky, furry smudges all over the place. The other question I had was about allergies. Our 6 year old has severe allergies. He's only with us for a few weeks at a time, but that whole time is spent puffing on his inhaler on coughing. I found some great dusting stuff by Pledge that has helped A LOT, but I couldn't find anything to help with the carpet. There are a bunch of things to sprinkle on the carpet to make it smell pretty, but nothing to really help the allergens let go of the fabric. Short of steam cleaning the carpets once a week, I don't know what to do. Any ideas? Thanks guys!

We only have a small area of carpet, the rest is linoleum. The only thing I've found that does a decent job is a vacuum cleaner with a hepafilter. We use a canister-style vac because the wand seems to reach more places than an upright head can.

What about the swiffer..........I actually use a micrfiber cloth on the end of a broom and it picks up loose hair and dust bunnies like a charm.
Good Luck

We tend to use the vacuum a lot as well. As for your son's allergies, Febreze has a product that's supposed to reduce allergens. No idea how good it is, but might be worth a try.
