Caught our hummingbird on camera

I was standing still on the porch trying to catch a few photos of all the birds that are enjoying the new cedar feeders we got for them. Imagine my surprise when one of the hummingbirds decided to feed with me not 6 feet away! I loved it!

Hope you can see him/her since the pictures are so small on here. The first one is of the other feeders with a few birds close by and in them.

And don't you just love the sound of them? How cool that this little traveler accepted you enough come in for a sip or two!

Love the cedar feeders, too!!!

Very lovely photos dmc123.
I have a very clear memory of being 8 years old wearing a yellow terry cloth halter top with a red flower in the middle, and a hummingbird came up to me and poked the red flower. At the time it scared the ***ing daylights out of me, but I got over it pretty fast

Oh man! Now I'm doubly jealous!

I have had 4 hummingbird feeders in my yard this year and notta one came a calling! I've seen them around our town just not anywhere near my feeders!

Oh hum....maybe next year---again.

Wonderful pics! I love hummers! We get a few of them around here. I usually plant lots of flowers that they can get nectar from. The one year I had a feeder they never came close. Just used the flowers.
