First trip to the beach
Well we finally made it to the beach!
We went where Buddy lives, near Forillion Park. Across the road from their house is an isolated beach and pretty darn private. We were the only people down there. It's a bit of a walk on a steep hill. That's the only downer about going there. Sandy did not have a good time at all. She absolutely hates water and wouldn't even run around on the beach and instead decided to sit under a nice bench in the shade while the younger dogs ran around and chased balls. So here's a few pics of Buddy and Sheeba having fun in the water. Sheeba did not hesitate about going in the salt water. Took her a few minutes to discover she could swim but it's really shallow there and I had to walk out quite a ways to get to water over my knees. Race to get the ball! Sheeba to Buddy - "I got it and you didn't" Coming back mom!

I love wet, sandy dogs!
Speaking of Sandy...I'll bet she felt quite smug, safe in the shade under her bench watching the two youngsters getting soaked to the skin in the evil water! What do you supposed Sheeba was looking for under the water?

What a wonderful way for them to spend a hot summer day . They looked like they had an awesome time!
The last pic, where was that taken? It looks awfully familiar.

That beach is an ideal area for dogs because it's so shallow, and no nasty currents to carry you away. But most of it is connected to private property. The pic you recognize is looking towards Gaspe from that small beach. There's tons of stuff going on in the area this year. You missed a big music fest all weekend. http://www.475gaspe.com/ Quote:
There's a much larger beach nearby but they don't allow dogs while the tourists are here.
