Puppy w/ blood shot eyes and yellow thick snot

Hi everyone. I have already taken my puppy to the vet last wensday. They did all these tests and gave him a couple shots and put him on antibiotics. The vet really didnt answer my questions when i asked him what was wrong he just said it could be kennel cough or just a cold, blah blah blah. Then as im walking out after paying my rediculous bill the nurse is explaining the parvo can stay up to 7 years in the body and im just like what are you people talking about. Anyways im frustrated i just paid all this money to have him seen, almost all his antibiotics are gone and he still has blood shot eyes and really thick yellow snot covering his nose. It was so bad last night i had to pick it off his nose holes cause they were completey covered up. does anyone else have the same problem with their dog. Im thinking its just a bad cold hes still getting over but im not sure what to do. And my other dog his fine, she isnt showing any of his symptoms.
