Wow, thank GOODNESS this didn't all fall on deaf ears! I could kiss you right now, seriously!!!

Best of luck with your unruly pup! We had our hands full with a VERY naughty terrier mix for a while, I'm happy to say she's very much reformed! The information here really will help you, and Dekka I'm sure will be able to offer some great tips!

No I don't think any advice is wasted. Even if the person doesn't take to it. There are plenty of other people who can benefit from this. Everytime someone does a search now it will come up. And (call me naive if you like) I like to think that some of the advice we gave Escobar must have gotten thru

No advice ever goes wasted. I love coming here and just reading throught the posts, I learnt SO MUCH since I first came here!

I just keep reading the name of this post and it doesn't sit well with me. No dog is intentionally vicious. Dogs have no concept of INTENTIONAL viciousness, only response to mis-treatment and factors that influence the dog's character.

The OP was given a lot of very useful info, but it is up to them to take it or leave it. People here feel strongly about their pets, and are passionate about other animals well-being, so sometimes their opinions may come on very strongly. There is nothing wrong in it.
The only thing I can say to someone that gets so defencive about their situation is that none of it is personal, we don't know you or your dog. You come here, looking for help, but then you turn around and say that the help offered was not good enough. It is up to you to do the research and to collect the data and the info that will help you. And it is also up to you to actually take the steps that you feel are the correct thing for you to do, be it finding your dog a new home or taking advantange of the advice given to you. You are the only one who can make things happen or not.

Good luck, Toothy.
