diarrhea

last night, rexie woke me up.... he had diarrhea and was pukin up nothing. then today we ate his food, and drank as per usual,but had diarrhea again.

I just remembered that i forgot to give him his flea medication and heartworm ( its two in one that you put on his back) .

He is playing fine, and looks okay. I am so worried, i feel so guilty about not giving him his meds. I am soooooo worried.

What am I suppose to do ?! he only has had diarrhea not even 24 hours

Dont' worry about the heartworm meds. They are retroactive, so will kill anything he picked up in the previous month. How often should he have it, and when did you last put it on him?

As for the diarrhea, if it lasts longer than 48 hours, you should go to the vet.

Trying feeding him nothing for one day, then give a small meal and see how he does. Add some cooked rice to his food.

If he is acting the way he usually does, and seems energetic and happy, sure, take him for a walk.

If he is acting lethargic or depressed, I would take him to the vet sooner.
