Just a Little Story

I answered in another area about labs and I mentioned a Lab we had by the name of Tammi.

Tammi one day cut her foot right to the bone and we lived on a farm. Dad was not home to take us to the only vet that was over an hour away. So my Grandmother told us this old healing story. Tammi was gushing blood and we were sure we were going to lose her. Grandma said to put pepper on the cut. (Sounds like this is going to hurt but it does not, I have tried this on myself.) So we slowed the blood flow with a tourniquet and poured a big can of black pepper on the wound and used a pad as a big bandaid. It formed a crust or scab and Tammi would not lick it. We kept her quiet until dad came home and off to the vet we went. Tammi got a lot of stitches and the vet said we had saved her life, she would have bled out. Tammi lived out her life chasing banty chickens for many years after that. Who knows maybe this could save you animals life also..Sounds weird, but this really happened.

Pepper is a fairly common ingredient in Ayurvedic remedies.
