Adventures in Dogland!

I had been hearing about giving bones for dogs and that you had to give the right kind so that they did not splinter and choke the dog etc. So I went to the grocery store and went up to the meat department. "Um, excuse me, could you show me what kind of bones are the ones for dogs?" She looked at me funny. I explained that I am vegetarian and I don't know from bones!!! She laughed and showed me the marrow soup bones. Lindy LOVES them!! I was thinking about it and realized that I probably haven't been in the meat department for over 20 years!!!!!!!!!

Okay you got me giggling now, thats is so cute and funny!!! I guess we just take for grantid everyone knows what type of beef bones are good for dogs. DUH UH NO! How could ya if ya never were shown before lol!

So, just don't cook the bone, give to Lindy girl raw or she may get splinters and GREAT for you getting her a bone. You two are gonna be inseperable.

Get ready for the term 'velcro'

Marrow bones are great - my dog loves them! If Lindy never had them before, she may get a bit of diarrhea, but it will pass.

The bones should be no longer than 6", so she can get all the marrow out.
