New to forum

Hi, I'm new here. My name is Katie and I have a 10 lb mini dachshund, a 120 lb Malamute cross (guess which one is boss?), and a somewhat feral cat named Kitty. I'm looking forward to reading and posting on this site.

You can post the pics in this thread, start a new thread, or feel free to join any of the pet photo challenges.

Use the little paper clip attachment in the reply post area. The pics often need to be resized to be posted. Here is a thread which might help.

My camera is new and I'm just learning how to use it- don't know how to resize pictures yet. I'll try to learn all that quickly and post some pics. Thanks for the warm welcome.

The Dachshund is the boss, of course! And no doubt of the household. My 2 soul mates were super alpha, super benevolent minis - took very good care of the other more mild-mannered Dachshunds - and of Mommy! Would love to see a picture of your crew. I wish I had a picture of the very large Great Dane who would run like the devil when he saw Wonder Wiener I coming - all 10 lbs. of him. Hope your pup is surviving the Vancouver weather - a little different than normal for you.

This is my dachshund Nellie (I hope it worked). She is definitely the boss of the whole household (and the whole world, in her mind). I have to be careful when I take her places because she will take on any size dog. We live in a rural area with no leash leash laws, and several big dogs run loose (including a pit bull). We also have lots of bald eagles which could easily carry her off, so she lives indoors mostly, which suits her fine. She's a real little character- loves to play and snuggle, and she absolutely LOVES kids. I will post pics of Rex, the Malamute cross later- he is at work with my husband right now. Yes, we have had a lot of storms lately, which Nellie hates- she doesn't like to get her feet wet. Another storm is supposed to come in later today.

She's certainly cute and I can feel her attitude coming through that pic. Yes, B.C. certainly has had more than it's share of storms this year. Looking forward to pics of Max.
