Talking C.I.B.C Walk For The Cure

Is anyone participating in the C.I.B.C Run/Walk For The Cure for breast cancer - Joey and I are going tommorow with some neighbours and some people from work.

Hope that you will all join in - and dont forget the Relay For Life too in June.

I ran the 21 km Harvest Half Marathon on Saturday (yesterday) morning in Calgary, benefiting the Alberta Cancer Society . . . . my colleague, a single mother of two, died last year of brain cancer at the age of 39 and her foundation was the sponsor of the run . . . . so I hope you'll give me a pass on another run today.

I also did the all night Relay for Life in rain-soaked conditions in Calgary in May.

My assistant, however, is doing the Run For The Cure today.

Have a great time!!!

My workplace has set up a team for the run/walk. I didn't go because I didn't get the original memo and didn't even know about it until it was too late. If I had known that the dogs could go, I would have definitely been there, but didn't know dogs were allowed and I feel so naked walking without her.

Just got back - Joey and I went along with tons of other dog - Joey growled and barked at a few too. We even met another English Cocker too.

Only four people went from work - so that was a bit dissapointing but we were there - and I wore my pink shirt - sorry I meant to take photos but didnt really have any extra hands for my camera.

Rick your excused from the run for the cure - and I am so sorry to hear about your collegue cancer really does suck.

I plan to do the relay for life here in June

Byrd I know what you mean - I feel wierd walking without Joey almost like I left my arm at home or something.

I didn't do the run. It's great that you did, JECM.
