Tested Water

Well here at work we have test strips to test the water.

Anyhoo, these are the results I came up with

Chlorine was around .5ppm.
pH was between 6.8-7.2. So id say 7 lol.
and total Alkalinity was 80ppm. Maybe a little lower.

How do these numbers sound?

Ph and Alkalinity are fine.
The Chlorine is a problem though.
Chlorine is highly dangerous to fish - it burns
their gill membranes making it very hard for them
to breathe. When you add water to the tank, you should
use a water conditioner that removes chlorine and chloramine.
Heres the one I use Prime- 1 500ml bottle treats 5000g. It also removes
ammonia, and nitrites (converts them to a less harmful state)
and heavy metals, and detoxifies NitrAtes. Prime is the best one
on the market, and with your size tank 1 100 ml bottle would last you
1000 water changes, and if you do one a week of 1g (1/3),
thatll last you years and years and years. No other water conditioner
can compare to prime for quality, strength, and performance.

Thanks for the heads up. It wasnt quite .5. kinda inbetween, but i rounded up. Well it was color matching test strips, so a bit of guesstimate lol. I wish i would have seen this before I went to the pet shop. I'll pick some up. I have that beta plus stuff. But I doubt it does anything like this stuff would.
