My daughter's cat has a tick, she removed the body, will the head cause any serious damage?

one sure way to get rid of the tick

I worked at an animal clinic part time for 3 years, and what we always used to remove a tick was alcohol. Rubbing alcohol, to be more specific. Just soak some into a cotton ball and hold it on the cat's ear for 30 seconds or so. Even if you have removed the tick's head already, it's still a good idea to clean the sore... Laura
