The after-effects of a good grooming

It is always amazing to me what a good grooming does to a dog. On Saturday, my boyfriend and I took both this dogs and Molly to the groomers. When they let Cisco out of his kennel, I thought he was someone else's dog that they let out accidentally. Not until I studied him did I realize it was the very same, although this time hairless, Cisco.

Here is the before picture:

OMG I wouldn't have recognized him! He must feel sooooo good. Good for you for taking the time and expense of getting him groomed!

I really doubt he's grateful. He's been sulking for the past few days. I mean, look at his face in the after picture.

Wow, I can't believe the difference! I wouldn't of thought that he was that big under all that fur!

Did you take him to be groomed for any special reason? Did you know they were going to take that much fur off?

Once, my friend took her Maine Coon to the groomers and when she got him back he was no longer a Maine Coon...her poor boy looked terrible and it took months for the hair to grow back!

He rarely ever gets groomed, like maybe twice a year max. His hair was all over the place, not only making him hot, but actually all over the place. Everywhere he went, he left hair in his wake. Now that he's buzzed, his shedding is under control.

This is my first time seeing him right after he was groomed, so I had no idea they were going to take all that hair off.

I think it makes him look younger. My boyfriend's mom says he looks like a sausage.

Wow, he looked like he changed breed! How can you do it only twice a year, when he comes out looking so handsome?
