Is this genetic defect? They aren't breeding them are they?

Dog doesn't look dwarf gsd to me though, looks like some tea cup breed. Odd huh.

I sort of read it wrong.

Yes it is a defect....

Dwarfism in shepards is becoming more common and if you know anyone who is breeding for the betterment of the breed let them know about this website. Get the blood samples in and lets find the gene causing this so dogs who carry this gene can be taken out of breeding programs.

I have talked to a few of the GSD breeders I know.They do know about this.And have said that there have been no known cases in Canada.And if any of the dogs ever produced any,breeding would stop.And the breeders I know always have blood test done.
