Cool Introduction

Hi, My name is Susan.
My husband and I have 5 children ages 3, 4, 6, 7 and 11. We have three horses, a few fish, a couple cavies and 8 Rotties... Males are 7 mos, 7 mos, 4 and 4, Females are 2, 3, 8 and 8. I used to show and have bred a couple litters. But now all are retired, neutered and/or spayed. I just don't have the time or energy do to it anymore, lol. Keeping up with my children and critters, running a couple group e-mail lists and keeping in contact with my puppy owners keeps me busy.
I'm looking forward to meeting everyone.

Welcome

Hiya RottnSue,
I must say that is quite the group you have. You must have a ton of energy to keep up with it all. I love AZ btw. Would move there in a heartbeat! Welcome to the group!

Wow you definitely have your hands full!! The dogs and the children are all under 11 years of age--that's 13 little critters all at once heheh!!

Is energy your middle name?

Welcome to the board!

Thank you for the welcoming posts.

I wouldn't say I was energetic... just very tired. lol.

Actually, it's not to bad. Three of the kids are in school most of the day and the dogs are very lazy. They have a fenced acre to play and run around on if they choose, so I don't take them out on walks often. Right now all eight are big black puddles of snoring fur surrounding my computer chair. lol.

As for Arizona... it's okay. I'm just East of Phoenix. Winter's are nice here, but summers totally bite. We are planning a move to Northern Arizona in the next year or so. Pine trees, a little snow in the winter, but most imortantly, much cooler summers... I will be in heaven.

<sigh> Photos... I'm new to this forum so bear with me on figuring this out... If I did it correctly, attached should be a picture of Rider. He'll be 5 years old in May... and he's such a dork.

Here is a link to my former website.. it's still up and running, although I'm not sure why. lol I did let my domain slip, so it's just on geocities now..

www.geocities.com/arroyorotts/index.html

There are pics of my animals there you can look at.. If I get the hang of this, I may send more here to the forum...

Ok, that worked...

Here's a picture of Rider and Star and their pups Xander and Ronan.
Xander is laying down in front. Rider is still on the couch (his usual perch), Ronan is sitting between Rider and Star (he's the smallest of the four).

Wow !! You definately hang your cape up in the corner at night. I got tired just reading of the kids, horses, dogs etc. It must be so nice to have all those furkids and the space for them.

Welcome to the board, you have very handsome furkids

This is silly Britta... she's the grandma/great-grandma. She's just shy of 9 years old.

Thank you!

I do love having them all. They're a great bunch.
It was much more difficult juggling shows and such.. especially with the kids in tow... then I shattered my finger last Easter and I've been dealing with several surgeries, therapy visits and what seems like constant daily exercises for that stupid finger and hand... (can you tell I'm a bit frustrated with it?)
I'm hoping things will level out soon. I really miss the ring.

Susan

Oh, here's the last of the 8... this is Harmony. She's Britta's littermate, but I didn't get her at the same time. I rescued her at about 6 months of age or so.

Oh I would SO hate to be a burglar breaking into YOUR house! Turn around slowly - the heavy breathing you hear is NOT someone trying to get a date with you!

Those are some very handsome dogs! Welcome to the boards!

Thank you.

You know, you'd think a burglar wouldn't attempt to come in my home... and you'd think that if one was stupid enough, the dogs would eat him/her alive... but no. Not the case. We actually were burglarized. Six of the dogs were in the house. Not one of them did a darn thing. When they caught the guy who did it, they asked him about the dogs and he said all they did was look up from where they were laying and go back to sleep. He said one of them barked at him and he talked to her a bit and eventually she came over to him and he petted her for a while. Said she followed him room to room but that was it. <sigh> I guess I went a bit overboard on the socialization. LOL

The two who were not present were camping with me because they won't let the pet sitter in the house. I guess I should be leaving those two home from now on.

Yes, totally addictive.

I am owner/moderator of a couple group e-mail lists at Yahoo and belong to several others there... What's that saying? In every clean house there must be a broken computer. lol

Welcome to you,Susan.. and what a beautiful group of dogs! They are lovely.
I too became weary just reading of your gang.
That is hilarious about the burglar! Seems like a fools-rush-in scenario... but apparently not in this case. (sorry you were burglarized though)
