Changes In Dog

Background: about a month and a half ago, I switched my almost 7-year old shihtzu from dry food to wet food (he has a grain allergy so gets grain-free food). Just recently we were away, so he spent a week at a kennel where he has stayed before. Now, in the past two weeks that we've been home, he's been pooping and peeing in the house. Yes, he's had the occasional "accident" in the house before...but this new thing has been an almost daily occurence with him. He's been squating and peeing right in front of me even when he was outside an hour ago!! He has also appeared to loose a bit of weight. Other than the bathroom issue he seems to have the same behaviours & playfulness that he did before. I am perplexed and am looking for advice. Does this require a vet visit?
