cat has sore after fight

my 5 year old male tabby was in a fight 2 weeks or so ago and one of the spots inside his ear isnt healing. its not bleeding but its red and he itches at it. would polysporin work? or do i need to drag him into the vet. thank you

Sigh..yes you have to take your pet to the vet. You more than likely have an abscess starting and he needs medication.

I agree...this cat should see a vet. Cat bites are one of the most painful and also causes terrible infections. Trust me, seeing a vet now is going to be alot cheaper than seeing one later when infection sets in. Also, I am certain that the cat is in discomfort and I am sure you would not want that.
So good luck at the vets and let us know how he is doing after the visit.
