We're Meeting a Dog Walker Today!!

So found someone who sounds decent, insured and all that important stuff. Didn't go on about her training philosophy in her reply to me. She also does pet sitting, which is nice cause I really can't see hauling 4 cats to a boarding place!!

I don't need a Cesar or Brad wannabe walking my dog!! So I'm hoping that won't happen. I don't mind if she reinforces the sit when she stops to cross a street and lately I've been using Go Sniff as a reward when she walks nicely. I already told her that Bayley tends to be reactive towards other dogs on leash but she's fine off leash. I hope the cats don't all freak so she can meet them too. Noella tends to be pretty shy but hopefully she'll say hi.

So I'm hoping she's a good fit, Bayley loved going for walks with my neighbour when we still lived in Ontario and she was really good for her..hahah better than she was with me..figures!! I'm hoping for about 3x a week, I usually work 6 days a week now, so she'll be a great help to get Bayley out.

How did it go, pattymac? Was she a good fit with your crew? Sure would be nice if you could find someone to help out

She was ok, not quite as 'doggy' as I was hoping. Little thing, not to say she's not able to handle Bayley, but she can be a handful at times. Pretty young though! Professionally done up info and all the waivers and stuff so that's good. Bayley met her over the back gate and she seemed a little apprehensive at Bayley's greeting woofs. Bayley is pretty outgoing with her greetings and woofs are a part of it. I may take her on for a trial walk or two and see how it goes.

On the other hand, Nino seemed to like her alright. Noella was kind of peeking at her around the couch. Bobee paid no attention to her and Coco didn't even acknowledge her.

I trial walk would probably be a good thing.

You wouldn't buy a car without taking it for a spin!

Hope everything turns out o.k.
