A wonderful rose bargain buy.
At our place we started off with roses, then I swapped to native plants to bring honeyeaters into the garden, and finally have swung to a 50/50 mix. I was delighted to be first to call when a chap advertised 10 standard Iceberg roses in the paper last week for just $100. ( $28.50 per rose plus postage is what the rose places are asking this year). I'll put them down both sides of our front path I think. They are only 4 year old roses, the guy doesn't like pruning them seeing they have masses of flowers. Doing a happy dance for sure.

What currency is 28.50 Goldfield?
I buy my roses from a rose breeder (usually in the fall) and they are between 10.00 and 13.00 (Canadian) per plant.

klm, is that bush or standard roses? The cost of a standard rose here from a rose business converts to $25.88 Canadian. I will be paying just $9.08 in your money. So cheap that the guy rang me back today to make sure I wanted them, as he'd had a lot of people ring about them.

For a Hybrid Tea. I do believe their shrub roses go for anywhere between 13 & 15.00 Canadian.
I will need to order an "S" rose come September. My "Senior Prom" did not survive the harsh winter.

Oh, that's bad luck, but at least you have a massive choice of roses starting with S. Hate losing roses myself seeing you have to replace them with younger, smaller roses.
