RAPID weight loss

12 yr old siamese, 5 lbs in 3weeks, eating wet food, shiny coat, nose cold, drinking water, maybe a little more than usual, muscles in hind quarters are almost gone, sits or sleeps a lot, can still walk, sits often. spine and hip bones are sticking out. Not complaining, but getting thinner by the minute.
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We had blood tests done, high white cell count, tried antibotics for one week, didn't help. Vet says probably cancer, but not sure.

Get to the vet immediately.

Went to vet, high blood cell count, tried antibotics, wanted $700,.00 to do ultra sound to see if there was a mass. Opted not to do that, as he is 12, and other than the weight loss doesn't seem to be in discomfort

no but it could mean your cat is dying. there's no way we can give you a diagnose , only your vet can , with more tests. I'm sorry.

I've had him tested for his thyroid, and diabeties. His hind quarters look like they are atropying, but he is trying to move more and is still very alert.

Weight loss is a vague symptom that can be linked to a lot of issues.

The ONLY way you can diagnose is by taking your vets advice and having all the tests done that they recommend. We can't answer your question on here.
