Is Dry Food Better For Puppies??

Is it true that 'wet' food from sachets is bad for dogs? My puppy has happily recovered from her tummy bug, and we've taken the BARF from her diet as that seems to be what caused it. I bought a pack of Pedigree Puppy Complete, but she won't touch it. She was starving hungry and her antibiotics were crushed up in it, so in the end, I was forced to buy some sachets and add a tiny bit to the biscuits.She ate it all up, even the biscuits. I know dry food is meant to be better as it also cleans their teeth, but is it okay to mix dry and wet food, as that is what Tally likes.

Dry food is not better for a dog's teeth, and Pedigree is NOT good food. The high corn content of it could upset your puppy's tummy further as it is not very digestible. I would get her a much better and much more digestible dry food.

It's perfectly fine to mix some wet food in with the dry, which is what I've been doing for the last 16 years. I use about 3/4 dry to 1/4 wet.

I wouldn't want to eat nothing but dry cereal my whole life.

I agree with you and I would like to ask you a question...
I do give my dogs people food almost daily from apples, watermelen lean meat honestly pretty much if I have something I let them try it. Now is this bad for them? They are not over weight and pretty healthy ( blaze mange )

All these things are good for dogs! I give my dog a little of whatever I"m having also, and if it's not the greatest thing for her,(fatty or sweet) I just give a taste. I'm a sucker for the "I'm starving!!" sad face! If it's chicken, rice, pasta, fish or something else healthy, I give a bit more.

I just try not to overdo it, and make sure I put her portion in her bowl, so she does not start begging at the table.

Just don't feed raisins, as they can be toxic to dogs.

Also steer clear of chocolate - it seems harmless but the fatal toxins can cause serious illness or even death. Also, don't feed puppies grapes as they're very bad for them.
