Hi Everyone
I'm a new member here and looking forward to meeting other dog people. I am a photographer and love photographing dogs and horses. I have a basset hound pup named AJ that I'm training in tracking.

Awwwwwwwww.....look at those eyes!
And those ears!  What an absolute doll! Thanks for sharing--he looks like a sweetheart. Are bassets very mischievous pups? I hope not--cuz it would be very hard to tell that face "no"!

The secret to Bassets is not to fall for that face!! The number one killer of this breed is obesity; so he gets no people food except the odd piece of cheddar cheese when we're training...
They are true hounds, a bit challenging to housebreak and they want to stick to you like glue wherever you go. But, they respond very well to a pack leader who keeps the rules consistent. I wanted a Bloodhound because I am interested in tracking but don't have the space. AJ is a bloodhound in a basset body!

He does all the advertising for my photography....
 I've been a working news photographer for years but am in the process of starting my own business, which will include dog portraits. Thanks for all the kind comments; AJ's head is 3 inches bigger!!Mary

OMG, what an adorable pup. I can picture him with his face stuck in his water bowl wonder where all the water went and why his ears feel very wet.
