Pursian Cat Fur tangled

I have a pursian cat that needs to be shaved close to the skin each winter because of the fur tangling. We have tried everything to keep his fur groomed, but as soon as the cold weather arrives his fur becomes staticy. Is there something that can be used to help to aleviate this problem.

Try this:

Use metal and teflon coated rather than plastic brushes or combs.
By an anti-static spritz sold in pet stores, NOT the other kind.
You can also buy detangling solution at your vet's office

Check out Persian cat web sites as they have lots more info on this!

Much luck!
